Frequently asked questions

We believe in transparency and empowering you with knowledge. Below, you'll find comprehensive answers to common questions about your tanning experience, from preparing for your session to making your radiant glow last.

Do I need a consultation before my first session?

Yes — all first-time clients get a free skin type assessment. We’ll check: Your skin type, Tanning history, Medications, Any health concerns. This helps us recommend the safest session time for you.

How long is a session?

Sessions usually range between 3–12 minutes, depending on your skin type and experience level. We always start gently — building your glow gradually is safer and gives better results.

How often should I tan?

We recommend: At least 48 hours between sessions, No more than 2–3 sessions per week. More isn’t better — your skin needs recovery time.

Do I have to wear goggles?

Yes — eye protection is mandatory. UV light can damage your eyes even when closed. We provide approved protective goggles for every session.

What should I wear?

Whatever you’re comfortable in: Swimwear, Underwear, Or minimal clothing for fewer tan lines. Please remove jewellery, makeup, perfume and deodorant beforehand.

Will I burn?

If you follow your recommended exposure times, you shouldn’t burn. If your skin feels red or sensitive, wait until it’s fully healed before your next session and speak to a member of the team.

Can I tan while pregnant?

We suggest checking with your GP or midwife first. Heat and UV exposure may not be suitable during pregnancy.

Can I use a sunbed if I have a medical condition or take medication?

Some medications and conditions increase sensitivity to UV. Please speak to us before tanning if you: Take prescribed medication, Have sensitive skin, Have a skin condition, Have a history of skin cancer. We’re always happy to advise.

How do I prepare for a session?

For the best results: Shower/exfoliate gently, Remove makeup & skincare, Don’t wear SPF or oils, Stay hydrated.

How do I make my tan last longer?

Easy wins: Moisturise daily, Drink plenty of water, Avoid long hot baths, Use gentle shower products, Don’t over-tan.
